Celtic Soul Garden
28th April-6th June 2025
Ancestral Framework for Modern Creativity
In this live online course, you will explore how to bring a creative project to life using the seasonal wisdom of the Celtic Calendar (from the Irish tradition) at any time of year. You and your creative project will journey through the seasons of Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine and Lughnasa creating in a way that feels cyclic, organic and deeply honouring of your body and soul.
Our ancestors believed everything was alive with soul. That our souls are connected to the Anima Mundi, the Soul of the World. Every living being on this magnificent mothership beats as one. To work in a way aligned to the principles of the Celtic Calendar, is deeply honouring of our ancestors.
We live in an overculture that sees itself separate from, and superior to nature. Capitalism has no interest in the intelligence of nature bar for extraction. Giving way to nature’s intelligence in our creative work can be an act of liberation from the oppressive and fear-based narratives of capitalism.
Remember, not many of nature’s creatures are forced to live inauthentically in the way that humans do to survive.
This is an innovative and profound way to bring our creations to life in modern times through Celtic mysticism, alchemy and nature’s wonder, as part of the slow-growth rebellion.
‘As every gardener knows, it is not only the blossom or the harvest that is important. It is in all the phases of the garden—the seasons, the new growth, the decay, the fallow periods; the planting and waiting; the partnership with nature. All of these matter.’
Margaret Eileen Meredith, The Secret Garden: Temenos for Individuation
Who is this for?
This is for you if you are…
Feeling trapped by modern life’s hustle culture and are ready to reclaim your creative autonomy.
Interested in the slow growth rebellion and cyclical approaches to your work that honours the natural rhythms of creativity.
Ready to honour the quicksilver quickening of Imbolc while also honouring the dreamtime of Samhain. This is about working with complementary energies not a binary of fast versus slow.
Excited by the prospect of working with a framework for your creative work that is underpinned by Celtic wisdom and mythos, body and soul (corp agus anam)—and most importantly—in bringing this to life in your own unique way, generating a wonder-vision for your great work.
A natural innovator devoted to personal growth in ways that are honouring of your body, your soul, and nature.
This is NOT for you if you are…
Looking for quick-fix productivity hacks rather than a curious and soulful partnership with your creative process.
Wanting a cookie-cutter model for how to engage with the Celtic Calendar that is not rooted in a living culture.
Focused on linear, growth-driven ways of working that are not honouring of body and soul.
By the end of this course:
You will have:
A framework for working in co-creation with the seasonal wisdom of the Celtic Calendar that you can apply to any creative project or indeed, your life.
Taken a creative project through this framework from inception to manifestation, iterating and adapting along the way to make this work for your unique way of being.
Cultivated a deeper connection to the wisdom of your ancestors, and sensed into how this can radically enhance your creative work without having to leave your modern life.
Felt the promise of the natural magic and inherent magnetism that is gifted to us when we work in alignment with ancestral rhythms.
Spent time travelling with a supportive tuath (‘tribe’) of fellow creatives, all tending to their Celtic souls.
Given yourself permission to create in a self-honouring way liberated from the oppressive productivity culture of capitalism, which would have us all living in Bealtaine (the eternal summer) 24/7!
‘In the garden one can see the time coming for both fruition and for dying back. In the garden one is moving with rather than against the inhalations and the exhalations of greater wild nature.’
Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves

I’m Jennifer (or Jen), an Irish mythologist, anthropologist and creativity mentor, and founder of The Celtic Creatives. A Dubliner born and bred, from the time I could talk, my grandmother Frances O’Sullivan filled my ears with tales from Irish myth and folklore, fuelling a now 40-year fascination with the stories of my lineage. My apprenticeship to following my soul’s breadcrumbs over the past twenty years has guided my work and formal studies in Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies, Sociocultural Anthropology, Creativity and Innovation, and Jungian Psychology with Art Therapy.
I’ve supported clients to bring the Celtic Calendar to life in diverse ways—from mapping its wisdom to the menstrual cycle, astrological cycles, or using it as a business model for strategic planning, quarterly planning, and holistic programmes, to aligning it to psycho-spiritual alchemy grounded in Jungian psychology.
Personally, the more closely I work with nature’s cycles, the more alive and organic I feel, the more magnetic and abundant I become, and the more connected to my creativity and the more-than-human world I find myself. I’m continually astounded by what our connection to nature offers us (as we are nature).
This is why as part of my dán, my soul’s work and creative destiny, I want to share this with you.
